A paid-social product ad, built from one flat catalogue photo

The whole ad exists to answer one objection a shop owner has: my product photos are dull and I have no budget for a shoot. So the ad shows their own photo, then the same photo moving.

Vertical, 10 seconds, built for Reels and TikTok placement.

The measurement that mattered. The first version of the moving shot looked worse than the still. Not subtly — the model brightened the frame and washed the colour out, so the "after" sold the product less well than the "before". That is fatal in an ad whose entire claim is that we make your product look better.

Numbers caught it: source saturation 15.7, first pass 14.6, luminance climbing from 141 to 148 exactly where the eye was drawn. The grade brings saturation to 21.8–24.9 while holding luminance at 130–136, so the shot reads richer rather than darker. My first correction overshot and crushed it to 110; that one went in the bin too.

Text is never generated inside an image. Garbled lettering is the fastest way to tell a viewer that nobody was watching.
